Dataset updates and versions

Understand what happens when an imported dataset changes and how Ounias preserves analyses associated with earlier dataset states.

Detecting changes

Connected dataset sources can be checked for changes after their original import.

When Ounias detects that a supported source has changed, the existing analytical state is not silently overwritten.

Dataset versions

Earlier analytical work remains associated with the dataset state that produced it.

This preserves reproducibility while allowing a newer dataset state to be brought into the project.

Rerunning analyses

Existing analytical configurations can be applied again when a dataset is updated.

This allows changes in the data and changes in the resulting analyses to be inspected separately rather than conflated.
